2022-2023 Accomplishments
Eccleston Elementary
On July 22, 2023, we had our second annual event at Eccleston Elementary made a substantial impact as we distributed books, a total of 165 students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade received five books each, while 210 students from 3rd to 5th grade each received a book. Furthermore, we conducted parent training sessions and invited an esteemed education expert to provide guidance on literacy and preliteracy skills. The event was made memorable through drawings featuring enticing prizes such as gift cards, TVs, and bicycles, bringing joy to students and their families.

227 students in grades Kindergarten-1st received tailored book bundles, and 720 students in grades 2nd-8th could select from books curated for them. Need to Read hosted a giveaway to incentivize parent attendance with gift cards, big-screen TVs, and bikes. Thanks to tailored books designed for their reading level, everyone at the event left smiling.

Served 147 students at Rosen Preschool in Orlando with gift bundles of five books each. Held an incentive giveaway with prizes such as $750 worth of gift cards, TVs, bikes, and Universal Studios tickets. Provided valuable training on pre-literacy skills for faculty and students for further educational success. This act of generosity earned the organization accolades for being a true literacy superhero!
