Need to Read had a one year goal of distributing 5,000 books
(4-6 bundled books for 600 households) to families.
We successfully achieved this on July 24th, 2018 and
hope to do it again in 2019!

The Need to Read Program Is Different From
Other Charity Organizations in Three Ways:
- There is no known organization that solely addresses the need for pre-reading literacy skills.
- Most early reading programs focus on children attending Kindergarten and elementary. Need to Read focuses on children 5 years of age and younger, their parents and their need to be exposed to reading at an early age.
- Community volunteer involvement in canvasing the community to reach local households is central to N2R’s success model.
